Good health and safety performance is a high priority in the offshore renewables market and provides a competitive advantage for most Small and Medium Enterprises. However, the additional cost of certification or listing with verification services can be prohibitive and time consuming.

Conversulting’s independent safety audit simplifies the requirements of OHSAS 18001 by differentiating between the employee/organization and short/long term dimensions of process management to deliver a holistic viewpoint from which continual improvement can be implemented effectively. This approach recognizes that it’s the individuals in the organization who get results, not the management system.

Robin Stowell of Conversulting Limited says, “The results of an independent safety audit can be used internally by an organisation to improve safety performance, concurrently with business expansion; and as a demonstration of conformity to OHSAS 18001 by a party external to the organization, for customers and landlords, at a cost significantly lower than certification bodies.”

Conversulting’s track record in designing, implementing and auditing safety management systems in the marine environment makes it an ideal partner and solution provider for rapidly expanding companies in the offshore wind and marine energy supply chain. Robin Stowell is a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner and Chartered Marine Engineer who regularly chairs sessions and presents at offshore renewables health and safety conferences. As Lead Auditor of Conversulting Ltd., he follows the principles in ISO 19011 – Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems.
