The SMart Wind consortium, led by Mainstream Renewable Power and Siemens Project Ventures, has announced the launch of the next phase of community consultation events set to take place from the 19th to 27th February 2013 for Project One and Project Two within the Hornsea Zone.
The events will take place along the proposed route for the power cables to connect up to 3,000MW to the National Grid, South of the River Humber.
Building on the various feedback secured through Phase 1 to 3 public consultation events for Project One which took place through 2011 and 2012, the supply-chain led consortium has secured land options for the converter station location and is at an advanced stage of securing land options for the cable route.
