Government leaders from the Channel Islands are attending the second annual Political Summit on marine renewable energy today, Isle News informs.
Representatives of Guernsey, Jersey and Sark will welcome Alderney as a new signatory of the Joint Statement of Intent , signed on 15th February 2012, by which the authorities agreed to work together on aspects of marine renewable energy. They are reaffirming their commitment to this collaboration today.
This year’s meeting will focus on building relationships and sharing the progress gained over the past year. The officials will also discuss issues relevant to all of the islands.
