GL Renewables Certification (GL RC) has appointed Daniel Hein as new Head of Group China. In his new role Mr Hein will be responsible for establishing and growing GL RC’s business within China.

GL RC is one of the leading certification bodies in the renewable energies sector, particularly in respect of type, component and project certification, as well as design assessment.

“In 2013, we will continue to strongly build our International presence, with a focus on the key Asian markets China, Korea and Japan. We offer an attractive product portfolio in the industry and need to make it available to our customers in those markets with a strong technical sales competence as well as via an increasingly local delivery,” said Fabio Pollicino, Head of International Operations GL RC .

Daniel Hein joined GL Group in 2008 as HR business partner for the Maritime Services in Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA degree and has extensive business experience in Asia and as Project Manager in the renewable industry sector in Europe.

“Chinese turbine manufacturers have made great strides in production for both domestic use and export in recent years and the Chinese solar industry will continue to play a leading role in the Chinese and International markets, ” explains Daniel Hein . “With our increased presence in Asia, we will be able to build and further deepen our relationships with our stakeholders in the region and to provide even better services to our customers for all the different renewable energy projects they are involved in.”

In the last two years, GL RC has increased the number of wind energy experts working for it around the world, in order to enhance its support for the designers, manufacturers, and developers of renewable energy projects. This expansion also allows GL RC to work more closely with industry committees and stakeholders to better address their activities and requirements in the United States and Canada, China, India and the UK.
