The SEA JACK jack-up vessel has anchored in the Carrick Roads in the UK, seeking shelter from bad weather conditions on its way from IJmuiden to Mostyn in North Wales, the Falmouth Packet informs.
Along with the sheerlegs vessel Norma 1, which is on her journey to the Suez Canal for wreck removal operations, the SEA JACK is waiting for a clear weather window to continue its trip to Mostyn, where from it will operate at the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm.
Last year, RWE npower renewables contracted A2SEA to provide specialist jack-ups SEA JACK and SEA WORKER to install 160 Siemens 3.6MW turbines on its Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm. The offshore wind farm, located off the coast of North Wales, will provide 400,000 households with renewable power by 2014.
