Denmark: DBB Jack-Up Expands Its Fleet and Service Offerings to Offshore Wind Industry

DBB Jack-Up is expanding their fleet and service offerings to the Offshore Wind Industry. With an office staff growth of 200% and offshore crew increase by 250%, DBB is well prepared for delivery of their next 2 jack-ups.

DBB Jack-Up is focusing on the demanding operation and maintenance work, including major component replacements where crane jack-ups are needed.

Their first delivery WIND PIONEER will be completed in August this year from the Orskov Yard in Frederikshavn. The jack-up will have a state-of-the-art Liebherr BOS-7500 crane installed, along with new thrusters and accommodations facilities.

The second delivery WIND SERVER is under construction at Nordic Yards in Germany with scheduled delivery for Q2 2014. A purpose-built vessels for O&M based on more than 10 years experience and hundreds of service operations within the industry. WIND SERVER will have the Liebherr BOS-14000 crane installed with 500 tons lifting capacity 96 meters above the vessels deck.

“All DBB Jack-Up’s vessels are fitted with Liebherr cranes for easy maintenance and spares management across the fleet,” explains Thorsten Jalk, CEO at DBB Jack-Up Services A/S . “We have been preparing for this growth and we are excited to bring the first dedicated O&M jack-ups to our clients – they are designed together with industry to support future demands.”

DBB has more than 24 years of experience handling demanding operations at sea. The DBB Group of companies consists of DBB JACK-UP, DBB SALVAGE and DBB ROV.
