On June 17, the law enforcement inspection team of the National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee led by Shen Yueyue, Vice Chairman of the NPC, came to Jiangsu Province to examine the implementation of the Renewable Energy Law.
On the morning of the next day, the inspection team accompanied by Liu Qi, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration, Xie Changjun, Member of the Party Leadership Group of China Guodian Corporation and Vice President, and Huang Qun, Secretary of Party Leadership Group of China Longyuan Power went to Nantong and paid an inspection visit to Longyuan Rudong Offshore Wind Power Farm.
Shen Yueyue and the inspection team heard reports on the offshore wind power development of China Longyuan Power in the central control room of the Longyuan Rudong Offshore Wind Power Farm. As it is the world’s first intertidal zone wind power farm that China Longyuan Power invested in, which is also China’s first offshore experimental wind power farm, they fully recognized its construction technique and installed capacity. Besides, Shen also learnt more about the implementation of the Renewable Energy Law in Jiangsu Longyuan Offshore and he showed great concern over the difficulties that China Longyuan Power met with when developing the offshore wind power.
Officials of the New Energy Division of the National Energy Administration, Office of China Longyuan Power, and Longyuan Jiangsu Offshore accompanied the inspection team all the time.
