On the morning of Thursday 27 June, as part of Seawork’s CPD-certified conference, Stuart Grant, Navitus Bay Senior Project Manager, will give an overview of future opportunities for the marine supply sector in the UK’s offshore wind industry.
His paper will form part of a morning devoted to Renewable Energy also featuring papers on the supply and demand of wind farm service vessels and the latest scientific developments in wind, wave and tidal energy.
Navitus Bay Wind Park, located off the Dorset and Hampshire coasts, is a 50-50 joint venture between Eneco Wind UK Ltd and EDF Energy. The proposed 1100MW project could provide significant opportunities for local businesses and the marine sector during the construction and operation phases.
If the Development Consent Order is granted by the Secretary of State for Energy & Climate Change, pre-construction engineering and supply chain tendering will commence early in 2015.
