Turner & Co. (Glasgow) Limited, the Engineering Services, Support Services and Asset Rental specialists, announced the agreement in principle to acquire Iceni Marine Services Limited. The transaction is due to be completed by early July 2013.
Iceni Marine Services was formed in 2009 to provide crew transfer and marine support operations for the emerging offshore windfarm market. During that period Iceni have grown rapidly. Iceni currently operate 5 vessels with a 6th vessel, ‘Iceni Victory’ a 24m South Cat due to be delivered in August.
The acquisition of Iceni represents an important step in the further diversification of Turner and establishes a strong foothold in the offshore renewable energy market. The transaction brings with it a wealth of valuable experience and operational excellence from the transferring Directors and management team.
