Navitus Bay Development Ltd recently gave a deeper insight into its offshore wind project to members of the Dorset Coast Forum (DCF).

The DCF hosted a Navitus Bay seminar for its members at the end of last month at the Lighthouse Theatre in Poole, which was attended by 75 DCF members from various coastal and marine sectors. The company behind the project informed the attendees about the latest updates and presented visualizations of the offshore wind farm, all that with the purpose of acquainting the members with the proposed development and creating a better understanding of the project, especially on the subject of its effect on the Dorset coast and its coastal waters, Dorset Echo reports.

The Navitus Bay Wind Park, which could generate enough electricity to power up to 790,000 homes each year, was supported by some of the members, but created a concern related to its impact on tourism with others.
