The energy transition is currently a hot topic in all the media. The wind energy will play a key role in the German Federal Government’s energy plans.

Therefore, qualified staff is needed to keep the wind turbines both at sea and on land running, in order for the energy transition to function.

To encourage young people in taking a career in the wind energy industry German WindGuard and Kraftwerksschule are organizing this week a hands-on training for trainees of the energy supplier EnBW. The week-long training will include a simulation of a casualty rescue by helicopter from a wind power plant, practicing man overboard and basic maneuvers of sea survival.
