World-leading industrial and wind gear manufacturer and service provider Moventas has today appointed new members, CFO Mikko Viitala and CTO Niels Hammer, in its global management team.
M.Sc. (Econ.) Mikko Viitala (pictured) has been appointed Moventas’ Chief Financial Officer as well as member of the General Management Team and Board of Directors as of 1 August, 2013. Viitala takes global responsibility of Moventas’ financial operations and business development. Previously Viitala worked in several senior financial management positions in Finnish steel and steel construction company Rautaruukki.
Veli Kronqvist , Moventas CFO and member of the General Management Team and the Board of Directors will reach his contractual retirement age in 2014 and retire thereafter. He will continue with Moventas until his retirement, in senior consultancy and financial management projects.
Moventas’ Chief Technological Officer, Dr. Niels Hammer has also been appointed member of the General Management Team as of today. Hammer, who joined Moventas from Siemens, was appointed Moventas’ CTO in the beginning of this year.
Mikko Viitala and Niels Hammer both report to President & CEO Mikael Laine.
