Offshore Marine Support Ltd have announced that they have secured a 12 month contract for their flagship “Mabel Alice” conducting surveys in support of the £1.6m contract that was approved on 25 July to Royal Haskoning DHV.

The contract was issued for the preparatory works to develop tidal energy testing facilities on the seabed off of St Catherine’s Point on the Isle of Wight which forms part of the Solent Ocean Energy Centre (SOEC) Project.

Mabel Alice is currently in transit from Norfolk back to the Island to undertake the first survey within the next week or two.

Managing Director, Andy Iannetta says “this is a major coup for us, especially as we had been personally recommended by two or three different people for this work which goes to show that our hard work, commitment to customer service and sheer determination has, yet again, paid off. We are delighted to be a part of this project for yet another new customer.”

Alongside of this, the Vessel Co-Operative continues to grow with several vessels having successfully completed contracts in the last few months and two vessels currently on contract extensions for two different contracts in Germany.
