Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm is to officially open today.
Covering 88 km2, Anholt Offshore Wind Farm has a capacity of 400MW and is located between Djursland and the island of Anholt. Up to 400,000 households in Denmark will be supplied with CO2-free power on an annual basis.
111 infield cables installed in 4 months
VSMC was contracted by Dong Energy to install 111 infield cables with a total length of approx. 154 km. Project execution started in June 2012 by the Stemat82. Shortly after, VSMC doubled the cable-laying capacity by deploying the Toisa Wave. All cable-laying work was completed ahead of schedule.
