Just after Tidal Transit’s third personnel transfer vessel sailed from a shipyard in Cartagena, Spain to Grimsby, it made its maiden voyage this week, writes the Lincolnshire Echo.

Namely, the Tia Elizabeth, under a contract with RES Offshore, had sailed from Grimsby with twelve technicians heading for maintenance work on Hornsea met mast, where they stayed for four days.

SMart Wind deployed this met mast to collect wind data in the 4GW Hornsea Zone. As one of the nine zones that were awarded licences by the Crown Estate in 2009, this is the first zone to install a met mast.
