The Netherlands: BOW Terminal to Load Out Amrumbank Monopiles

Preparations for first load out of Amrumbank has started. Problably within 3 weeks the first monopiles will be shipped in coasters towards the Amrumbank area from BOW Terminal. These piles have a single weight of more then 600 tons. The heavy piles will be loaded with a new set of rigging including

Preparations for first load out of Amrumbank has started. Problably within 3 weeks the first monopiles will be shipped in coasters towards the Amrumbank area from BOW Terminal.

These piles have a single weight of more then 600 tons.

The heavy piles will be loaded with a new set of rigging including special designed triangle plates and soft slings to ensure a safe and quick operation.

The wind farm, located northwest of Helgoland, will comprise 80 Siemens’ 3.6 megawatt (MW) offshore wind turbines and will have a capacity of 288 MW.
