On October 14, China Longyuan Power held a video symposium on “How to Maintain Leading Wind Power Technology of China Longyuan Power”, which thoroughly implemented the strategy of the third undertaking, analyzed current situation of wind power industry, identified the gaps, put forward measures on how to maintain leading technology of the company and also defined specific responsibilities.
Zhang Baoquan, Member of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of China Longyuan Power presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Zhang thoroughly analyzed the situation and issues involved in the scientific and technological work, defined the direction for the company to maintain leading wind power technology, and also put forward the ideas and key points of the scientific and technological work for the next phase. He pointed out that, science and technology strategy has always been a key component for the company’s overall development strategy, and the company has formed the service support system of ten major wind power technologies, grasped high technical service capacity and established the advantage of leading technology in wind power industry, which provide important support for high quality development of the company. As industrial competition becomes increasingly fierce, the relative and absolute gaps for the leading advantage gradually reduce. Zhang stressed that, the company’s leading technology should not only reflect in scale and benefit but should also be constantly strengthened in the accumulation of intellectual property, the establishment of standards and popularization and application.
For the next phase, Zhang mainly made two requests: the first is to unify the thinking, deepen the understanding and deeply comprehend the significance of scientific and technological work. The company should constantly improve the relevant promotion policies and measures, strengthen technological innovation platform construction and establish a long-term mechanism for steady growth of science and technology input. On the other hand, the company should complete the appraisal, assessment and motivation system for technology talents and also create a good environment and atmosphere for cultivating, introducing, utilizing and retaining the talents. The second is to identify the target, create conditions, concentrate efforts and make key breakthroughs and thus bring about a new situation for scientific and technological work. The company should select prospective and progressive technology projects that can significantly affect safety production and access of wind power as the research direction. The leaders at all levels should take responsibility for supporting, encouraging, leading and guiding scientific and technical personnel to carry out the work. Besides, the company should also integrate scientific research resources of the home office’s R&D center and the affiliated technology companies and thus form a professional team with optimized resource allocation. Moreover, the company should develop reasonable planning for scientific and technological work, define the focus of each phase, strive for one to two breakthroughs in major research topics and thus realize significant improvements of the company’s scientific and technological strength through three to five years of efforts.
The relevant departments of China Longyuan Power, the units in Beijing and the relevant regional companies respectively attended the main session and parallel session and also had an exchange.
