Rob Sauven, Managing Director of Vestas R&D UK has resigned his position. However, Mr. Sauven will stay with the company until April 2014.

“A selection process for a replacement has been initiated and until a candidate has been selected Servet Sert, senior vice- president of industrialisation in Vestas Technology and Service Solutions will serve as the head of wind capture systems and managing director of Vestas R&D UK,” the company’s spokesman is quoted by Isle of Wight County Press as saying.

The reason for Mr. Sauven’s resignation remains unknown. He has headed Vestas’ R&D facility for 25 years. The company’s 80m prototype blades for the V164-8.0 MW offshore wind turbines are being built there.
