Innovation, a heavy-lift jack-up vessel, has arrived at the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm site with the first shipment of foundations, writes the Grimsby Telegraph.
Namely, the vessel was called into Aalborg Harbour earlier this month for the first out of seven trips to the site, where it will transport and install a total of 35 foundations.
If the weather permits, the first foundations could be installed in a few days.
Westermost Rough is located 8 kilometers off the Yorkshire Coast, north of Hull, and it will be the first project with 6MW Siemens wind turbines.
