Briggs Marine has appointed Alistair Blue as Dive Superintendent to head up the new in-house commercial diving division . Alistair, an ADC certified Air Diver, has a broad range of experience in the industry.

Alistair says, “Briggs Diving Division offers our clients an invaluable and bespoke integrated solution. The move to bring diving in-house ensures our clients can be confident that safety, quality and environmental accreditations, synonymous with Briggs, are upheld throughout our projects.”

As Briggs owns and operates over 40 vessels, they are able to rapidly deploy a holistic diving package, with the ability to undertake air diving services throughout the UK.

As with all commercial diving companies safety and quality is paramount, and Briggs are full members of the ADC, registered contractors with the UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and members of IMCA, they also hold accreditations for ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

Briggs offers safe, dependable solutions for the diving requirements of their client base, including; the renewable energy industry, harbour, port and waterway authorities, the oil and gas sector, salvage, insurance and construction markets.

Craig English, Director of Subsea Services said: “Briggs Marine is continually evolving to meet market demands. Establishing a new in-house diving division means we now have the flexibility and control to facilitate clients who want a turnkey solution, with certainty in cost, but can also assist those looking for support with specific one-off projects”.
