After it was recently completed, Meerwind Süd-Ost offshore wind farm is undergoing hot commissioning at the moment.
Earlier this month, WindMW announced that they have wrapped up the installation work on this offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. Seaway Heavy Lifting’s Oleg Strashnov installed the 3,500-tonne offshore converter substation, which was built by WeserWind in Bremerhaven .
The work is now being done on the cable connection of the substation and and readying the system for full operation.
After fully commissioned, the 288MW wind farm would be capable to produce enough electricity to power around 360,000 households.
