On Friday, the HelWin beta jacket was completed and sailed to its offshore location in the German sector of the North Sea from the fabrication facilities of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) in Vl issingen .
Siemens’ HelWin beta jacket was successfully loaded onto the barge on March 31, after Heerema Fabrication Group undertook necessary preparations for the work.
The converter platform is one of the main components of the TenneT DC offshore grid connection ‘HelWin2′. The connection with a capacity of 690 MW will connect a large wind farm cluster in the German sector of the North Sea.
