Dron & Dickson, a specialist in design, supply and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Lenny Collins as HSEQ manager and Bruce McHattie as UK wholesales operations manager.

Lenny Collins will be based at Dron & Dickson’s headquarters in Aberdeen and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with existing and new legislation in the UK, Brazil, the Middle East and offshore. He will also provide HSEQ support and advice to all employees.

Commenting on his new role, Lenny said: “The experience and knowledge I have acquired in previous roles means that I am well placed to support the management board with its operational controls, while providing all staff with safety guidance and support.”

Bruce McHattie, who has worked with Dron & Dickson for more than six years, has also been promoted from sales manager to wholesale operations manager for the UK.

Bruce said: “From my previous roles I have extensive sales experience, which enables me to really understand our customers’ needs while increasing company turnover and profitability.”

Dron & Dickson employs more than 300 people both off and onshore and has a network of bases in Aberdeen, Hull, Lowestoft, Stirling, Dubai, Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

In addition to targeting growth in the oil and gas sector, Dron & Dickson operates in the renewables and decommissioning markets. It also works in a variety of other sectors from pharmaceuticals to distilleries.
