Pelamis Wave Power (PWP) plans to explore the possibilities of locating their project maintenance facilities at Loch Eriboll, as the company has a license for a 10MW site in the Pentland Firth at Farr point.
Durness Development Group Limited (DDG) are proposing to build a community owned Harbour and Shore Facility on the West shore of Loch Eriboll.
DDG wants to explore the possibility of including a multi-purpose area for community use.
The next phase of work required is a comprehensive study of the markets this facility will serve and the preparation of a business case including financial projections. The research will explore the size and value of the potential markets for a harbour and shore facility on the shore of Loch Eriboll at Port Chamuill. This work will establish the viability and sustainability of the proposed development.
