Engineering and project management organisation Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ, and marine services and logistics company Dalby Offshore, have signed a co-operation agreement to provide a total offshore solution in the offshore wind market.

This agreement comes after the completion of a number of successful projects in which Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ and Dalby offshore have worked closely together.

The combination of skills from the two companies provide a unique integrated service provision, combining project management and technical support with marine and logistical solutions, this provides a total capability that can be seamlessly implemented giving this agreement an exceptional combination of skills and experience.

Both Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ and Dalby have invested significantly in the offshore wind sector in recent years and believe this combination of services to be the path that operators will demand as the market matures.

“The market for servicing offshore wind facilities is rapidly expanding and working with Dalby Offshore will enable us to enhance our portfolio of support services and provide an integrated packaged Solution to our clients”, stated Craig Welford, Managing Director of Cofely Fabricom’s Renewables business unit. “We are well placed to deliver a total offshore service which will require a combination of new and challenging skills to both independent and established energy providers. We have supported many offshore wind projects from their original concept through to design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance, which has placed us in a unique position”.

Managing Director of Dalby Offshore, Stuart McNiven added; “Strategically this Partnership with Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ is a major step forward in realising our potential in the European Offshore Renewable markets. With this combined service we will be able to provide a broad offering of products using our high specification vessels as the platform to deliver, which will provide savings in operations for all parties concerned”.

Nigel Carlton, UK CEO of Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ said “this initiative brings together capability and expertise creating a one stop solution”.
