Palfinger Boats is the manufacturer of (fast) rescue boats, work boats, daughter crafts and life boats. This product range is complementary to the Palfinger Marine deck equipment such as offshore cranes, marine cranes and launch & recovery systems.
The innovative, high quality and safe (fast) rescue boats, workboats and daughter crafts are designed and manufactured at Palfinger Boats its brand new head office in Harderwijk, The Netherlands. Palfinger Boats is able to produce almost the full standard range of these boats in GRP as well in aluminum. This gives the customer the possibilities to choose which hull fits their needs best.
Complete packages of deck equipment
“The integration of Palfinger Boats, former Fast RSQ, into the Palfinger Marine group allows us to join and benefit from the success of the group. Together with the marine and offshore cranes and the dedicated launch and recovery systems for every type of boat, we can offer a complete package for each type of vessel or rig for the marine and offshore industry, navy, Coast Guard and windfarm market” says Matthijs van der Ham, Managing Director Palfinger Boats. He continues “The success is shown already for the Sentinel project (4 ERRV’s for the UK market) for which we will supply the complete ship set of the aluminum fast rescue boat FRSQ 700 A, 10m daughter craft FRSQ 1000 A and dedicated davits. The FRSQ 1000 A daughter craft is designed in close cooperation with the owner, to make the daughter craft fully in compliance with the operator’s needs.”
Successful test drives during Seawork Southampton
Both the FRSQ 1000 A Daughter Craft and FRSQ 700 A Fast Rescue Craft were demonstrated during Seawork in Southampton UK from 10-12 June. Many naval architects and owners joined the test drives. Great maneuverability, stability, innovative design and overall build quality are the keywords of the overall feedback on the performance of the boats.
Global sales and service network
The Palfinger Boats range is completed with the Palfinger Marine totally enclosed life boats that are suitable for all marine and offshore applications where a life boat is required. The boats are manufactured based on in-house design and quality control, fully in accordance with the European and/or US standards. About 90% of the boat range is exported via a well-organized worldwide network of distributors and agencies. The Palfinger Marine global network of service stations enables Palfinger Boats to respond to any service request within hours.
