All 160 wind turbines at the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm are now installed.
A2SEA’s jack-up vessel Sea Worker , supported by Sea Bravo and Sea Echo , was deployed to install Siemens’s 3.6 MW turbines. Now, the work is underway on the last wind turbine to fit the blades.
Cable laying vessel Sia , owned by CT Offshore, is continuing with inter-array cable installation. Some 48 cables are left to be installed.
Gwynt y Môr will have an installed capacity of 576 MW and will be capable of meeting the average annual energy needs of around 400,000 homes.
