Earlier this year Mitsubishi Heavy Industry (MHI) and Vestas formed a new joint venture in offshore wind.
The MHI Vestas Offshore Wind (MVOW) joint venture is responsible for the design, further development, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and service related to the V164-8.0 MW turbine, as well as all marketing, sales and after-sales services related to offshore wind.
MVOW has now launched a new website which includes a supplier gateway which allows companies to submit their details online to request to become a supplier to MVOW.
Pete Clusky of MVOW highlighted this feature during his presentation at the MORL Meet the Buyer Events in early May 2014 and urged companies to register their details when the function goes live.
He outlined MVOW’s commitment to working with companies in the UK and that their goal is to find competitive, quality focused, local partners who they wish to develop long term relationships with.
