South Shields-based company has seen its turnover triple in one year.
Due to offshore wind expansion and support from GROW: OffshoreWind programme, Complete Fabrication Services (CFS) increased its sales from GBP 1.1 million to GBP 3.5 million in just 12 months.
The company is now focused on creating centralized 10,000-square foot facility to cope with the industry expansion.
“A significant amount of our work is bespoke and this suits companies supplying or working in the offshore wind sector,” said Darren Carlisle, managing director.
“We took a long hard look at our business two years ago and decided to invest in people and in automation, blending the two together to provide a range of solutions that are cost effective, offer excellent quality and can be adapted to different market requirements.”
CFS expects to grow its turnover to GBP 5 million and double its workforce to 50 people by 2016.
