Wave and Tidal Knowledge Network has been officially transferred from the Crown Estate to ORE Catapult.

Both parties agreed that ORE Catapult is best placed to continue to grow the content, functionality and value of the website for the industry.

ORE Catapult stated on its website: “We are building a centre of deep technical expertise and industry knowledge in the offshore renewable energy sector, and have committed to a three year plan to continue to host and further develop the Wave and Tidal Knowledge Network.

“Going forwards, we plan to expand the network and develop its functionality even further. We would welcome further comments on the website’s usability and functionality.”

The Knowledge Network facilitates the exchange of data in the emerging wave and tidal energy industry. It contains many resources on a range of relevant topics, including reports and data sets that can be downloaded for free.

The Crown Estate originally developed the Knowledge Network in line with its strategic objective to support growth of the wave and tidal industry and in partnership with the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
