Eneco has installed the transformer station foundation at its 129MW Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm.
The main contractor for the development of the Dutch wind farm, a joint operation between the Japanese company Mitsubishi Corporation and Eneco Group, is Van Oord.
The wind turbine construction jack-up vessel Aeolus installed 10 foundations out of 43 so far since the start of the construction a month ago.
Eneco Luchterduinen features new foundations where the monopile and the transition piece, which are usually built as two separate components, are built as a single component.
The construction is expected to be completed by mid 2015.
