Energinet.dk Requires Turntable for Subsea Cables

Energinet.dk is seeking a contractor for the design, construction, delivery and installation of a turntable for HV-submarine spare cables .

The turntable is expected to have a load capability of up to 600 tons and a diameter of 12-14 meters. It must be possible to load and unload multiple cables (up to 4) and to unload the cables individually.

Furthermore, the turntable must include mechanism for proper loading/unloading of cables. Cable diameter is expected to vary between 150mm and 300mm, weighing between 40 kg/m and 130 kg/m. Length of cables will be from 1,000m to 1,500m. The contractor must deliver and install DDP on foundation inside a warehouse at a location in Kalundborg.

Danish transmission system operator Energinet.dk, owned by the Danish Climate and Energy Ministry, is working on several renewable energy /subsea interconnector projects.
