Eolien Maritime France, a subsidiary of EDF EN France and Dong Energy Power Holding, has invited bids for the transportation and installation of offshore wind turbines at Courseulles-sur-Mer, Fécamp and Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farms.
In 2012, the European consortium led by EDF won the French offshore wind energy call for tenders for the three named sites. Total capacity of these projects is up to 1,500 MW.
The scope of work consists of the load-out, transportation from assembly hubs (expected to be located in St-Nazaire harbor for the St-Nazaire project and a harbor in Normandy for the Fécamp and Courseulles-sur-Mer projects) to the corresponding offshore sites and the installation of approximately 238 wind turbine generators.
Fécamp is expected to comprise 83 turbines, Courseulles sur-Mer will consist of 75 turbines and St-Nazaire will be home for 80 wind turbines.
The wind turbine components are an 80-meter tower with a 400-ton nacelle and three blades.
The deadline for the offer submission is December 15, 2014.
