The 400MW wind farm Veja Mate has recently been bought by Laidlaw Capital Group from previous owners BARD Group.
Veja Mate is located 129 km off the German North Coast. It received planning approval from the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) in August 2009 and has also secured grid connection. Financial close is expected in the first half of 2015.
It could benefit from the current favourable tariff. The wind farm is expected to be completed by 2017. Laidlaw Capital Group also owns neighbouring Deutsche Bucht.
