Hebei Province Development and Reform Commission has approved China Guodian Corp’s offshore wind farm off the coast of Hebei province, according to Chinese media.
The green light was given on December 31, 2014, for the 75-turbine project located around 8.2 kilometers offshore Tangshan city. The wind farm will cover an area of 61 square kilometers in water depths of up to 21 meters.
According to the developer, the project will feature Sinovel’s 4MW wind turbines.
