This is the first dedicated wind farm vessel with an adjustable pedestal, which enables the walk-to-work system to land at several heights with a high operability.

The vessel is designed by Havyard and is chartered by Statoil to do service operations at the Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm.

Dudgeon is the first offshore wind farm in the UK that will be using an SOV including an active motion compensated walk-to-work system.

“We have been working hard to develop solutions that reduce costs, and increases uptime and safety for wind farms. It is a vote of confidence and gives us a trigger to stretch for even further development when we enter into contracts with forefront shipowners like ESVAGT.

“We are also very pleased that major companies like Statoil, Statkraft and Masdar are choosing Uptime walk to work system as the preferred solution for wind farms,” says Sales & Marketing Director Svein Ove Haugen .
