Dalby Offshore has assisted in retrieving a container out of the Humber to avert 20 tonnes of lube oil being released into the sea, which was starting to pose danger to the local shipping port and nearby offshore wind farm installations.
Dalby Offshore bought in Delta Marine’s ‘Whalsa Lass’ tug boat to collect the container with the support of the Humber RNLI.
The crisis was averted when the container was pulled aboard with the tug’s on board crane, secured and made her passage back to Grimsby.
