People who want to put forward their views on the application from Perpetuus Tidal Energy Centre Limited (PTEC) should do so by emailing Marine Management Organisation (MMO) before midnight on Friday 20 February 2015.

They should include the reasoning and rationale for their views in their consultation response. The application can be accessed via the MMO Public Register.

On 29 November 2014, the MMO received the application from PTEC, which will lie approx. 2.5km south of St Catherine’s Point, Isle of Wight. Public consultation was opened on 23 December 2014.

A MMO spokesperson said: “We want to ensure that people provide their views and we encourage them to complete the consultation documents by the closing date.

“Following the consultation process, we will consider any representations received and ensure any outstanding matters are addressed before making a decision. We aim to determine marine licence applications with 13 weeks.”

PTEC has applied to the Marine Management Organisation and Isle of Wight Council (as the local planning authority).
