Students from the University Technical College, Norfolk (UTCN) recently joined CLS Offshore’s Scott McMillan and Mark Smith for a presentation and tour of the company’s Great Yarmouth facility.
Mark Smith, who is the Fabrication Manager at Malthouse Lane, organised the event allowing a group of year 12 students to complete the ‘Business Operations in Engineering’ component of their level 3 BTEC Engineering Diploma.
Mark Smith said: “ It is fantastic to meet such enthusiastic students. They are the future of this industry and for CLS Offshore to be able to demonstrate their facilities and teach them the operations required to deliver business in the Oil, Gas and Renewables sector is of significant importance to CLS.”
Managing Director Scott McMillan is on the board of the UTCN and CLS Offshore currently has a student attending the College on a six year internship.
