UK-based company, OSBIT Power, the developer of an innovative offshore wind access system released a footage of its MaXccess in operation at Fukushima offshore wind farm.
The system completed its Lloyds witnessed factory acceptance tests in late 2012.
Owned by Maubeni, the offshore wind farm is located 23 km off the Fukushima coast. It comprises a 2MW wind turbine 122 metres in height, and the diameter of the wind turbine blades as large as 80 metres.
