DBB is expanding its business into offshore wind decommissioning and installation support services.
The company said that with its track record of more than 370 offshore heavy lift operations, its vessel crew and project teams have the required skills and experience within safe and efficient execution of these kinds of offshore operations.
For offshore wind decommissioning operations, DBB Jack-Up offers tailor-made solutions for removal of met masts, wind turbines and foundations.
“Combined with the experience and skills of the DBB Jack-Up organisation, our purpose-built vessels offer a clear edge to the available alternatives,” says Thorsten Jalk, CEO of DBB Jack-Up Services A/S.
He added: “Our team handles the whole process from planning of the safest and most sustainable decommissioning method to recycling of the removed components.”
DBB Jack-Up has already completed a number of turnkey decommissioning operations including removal of offshore met masts and monopiles on Horns Rev 1, Horns Rev 2 and Nysted Offshore Wind Farm for Vattenfall and DONG Energy, respectively.
