Severn Offshore Services’ new vessel Severn Provider has commenced operations in the German sector of the North Sea.

The 26-metre Damen Twin Axe crew transfer vessel was recently christened at Damen Shipyards, Gorinchem and mobilised immediately to its first job earlier this month.

The vessel is now transporting personnel and equipment to and from the Meerwind Offshore Wind Farm.

Managing Director of Severn Offshore Services, Ryan Hopkins , said: “Following her naming ceremony, the vessel performed formidably in trials and the passage from the Netherlands to her current working site in Helgoland, Germany went exceptionally well. We are delighted that the ‘Severn Provider’ has been proving herself as a useful addition on site for a number of weeks.”
