E.ON Confirms Investment Decision for EUR 1.9 Bln Rampion OWF

Today, E.ON confirmed the investment decision for the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm in the UK. The total investment is approximately EUR 1.9 billion. The UK Green Investment Bank plc (GIB) has acquired a EUR 327 million stake in the project.

From 7 pm on Saturday to 5 pm on Sunday, for 22 consecutive hours, Denmark was being powered by wind energy. For electricity consumers west of Storebælt, the period in which the entire power consumption was covered by wind turbines was even longer – 31 hours.
