Strategic Marine has appointed Rob Osborn as General Manager for Fabrication and Engineering.
Prior to joining Strategic Marine, Rob held several leadership roles in global companies with related backgrounds, including ATCO Australia and Kiewit.
“Rob comes to us with great experience in the project and contracting business, with responsibilities ranging from project identification, funding and development, commercial negotiation, oversight of engineering, direct responsibility for procurement, project management, and oversight of all operations,” said Reece Newbold, Group Business Development Manager.
Strategic Marine’s fabrication business has seen steady growth over the past four years with a number of projects being performed within the renewable energy, marine infrastructure and mining markets. “Our business extends in these areas from Australia and South East Asia to The Middle East, the emerging African markets, and into Europe where we are able to compete very attractively with local providers,” Newbold added.
