Con4Mare will provide marine warranty survey services for RWE’s Nordsee One offshore wind farm.
Nordsee One consists of 54 turbines with a capacity of 6.15 MW each. It will be built 40 kilometres north of the island Juist off Germany’s coast.
In-water construction at the project site is anticipated to begin in 2016. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
Together with the wind farms Nordsee 2 and Nordsee 3, some 162 wind turbines with a capacity of approx. 1,000 megawatts (MW) are to be erected there on an area of some 100 square kilometres in the next few years. The total investment for all stages is estimated at some € 3 billion.
