Bonheur Takes Dive in Q2

Bonheur ASA, a specialist in shipping, offshore drilling, renewable energy and cruise, has reported a net loss of NOK 2,390 million for the second quarter of 2015, compared to profit of NOK 130 million a year before.

According to their report, EBITDA for this period more than doubled mainly due to higher EBITDA within Offshore drilling. Renewable energy and Cruise also contributed, while drop within Shipping/Offshore wind, from NOK 158 million to NOK 63 million, partly offset the increase in EBITDA.

Operating revenues for Shipping/Offshore wind had a slight drop totalling at NOK 314 million. Operating revenues for the group amounted to NOK 3,918 million comparing to NOK 2,771 million in the same period last year.

The Shipping/Offshore Wind division consists of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS, a company providing transport and installation services for the offshore wind industry and Universal Foundation Norway AS, a company offering innovative offshore wind turbine foundations. Both companies are indirectly owned 100% through Fred. Olsen Ocean Limited (formerly named First Olsen Limited). Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS owns 51% of Global Wind Service A/S, an international supplier of qualified and skilled personnel to the global wind turbine industry. Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS and Global Wind Service A/S each own 50% of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier Denmark A/S.
