Representatives from the world’s most experienced offshore wind companies along with U.S. companies will attend the 2015 International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum– Stronger Together– scheduled for September 27-28th, 2015 in Baltimore Maryland.
The Forum injects U.S. innovation into the global offshore wind dialogue, while highlighting European expertise.
The event, hosted by the U.S. based Business Network for Offshore Wind, is attended by C- Level participants from leading offshore wind companies, as well as representatives from U.S. manufacturing, transportation, maritime, engineering and construction industries. The event is intentionally kept at a manageable size to facilitate networking and business connections, which often lead to business transactions both in and out of the offshore wind industry.
“The United States has led the world in innovation, and this event facilitates the insertion of new ideas into the global offshore wind industry, helping to drive down costs. Topics such as development and use of unmanned systems, cybersecurity and mobile applications, along with foundation engineering, logistics planning, innovative noise mitigation, emerging markets and trends will be discussed,” says Liz Burdock, Executive Director of the Business Network for Offshore Wind . “The United States will follow some European practices to plan, construct and maintain its offshore wind projects, but it will not completely copy the European offshore wind industry, creating opportunities for innovation in all sectors of the supply chain.”
