Offshore Structures (Britain) (OSB) has completed the first can that is part of one of the transition pieces for the Burbo Bank Extension project ahead of schedule.
In total, 144 cans will be rolled at OSB, a joint venture between EEW Special Pipe Construction GmbH and Bladt Industries, located by the Teesside River in the UK.
The total number of transition pieces being fabricated at OSB is 16 and the total number of transition pieces for the project is 32.
The remaining 16 transition pieces will be fabricated by Bladt Industries in Aalborg, Denmark and the 32 monopiles will be fabricated by EEW SPC in Rostock, Germany.
