Beaufort Capital, a private equity firm from Hamburg, has acquired Nordseewerke GmbH.
The announcement was made a day after Emden-based offshore wind supplier entered the insolvency procedure.
According to the buyer, the company will be rebranded to Nordseewerke Emden Shipyard and will work closely together with Emden Dockyard EWD.
The new company has already taken 50 employees while EWD has engaged 15 additional employees. The remaining staff will be taken care of via interim employment group.
Nordseewerke has been doing business in the offshore wind sector since 2009.
