MT Tidal has announced that following the worsening of a prolonged illness, Paul Morris, CEO and cofounder has decided to step down from his post.

Morris said: “I have loved this business and firmly believe in its future in being in the ‘mix’ of renewable energy sources that will reduce our dependency on fossil and other climate changing energy sources.

“The fast increasing pace of the business, and the further expected consolidations in the industry means that younger, fitter and brighter people are continually required in order to maintain the edge.”

David Wyllie founder and CEO of Mosscliff Environmental, will become the interim CEO until such time as a new CEO will be appointed. Morris is leaving a very experienced project development team behind, who are fully committed to deliver tidal energy in the UK, Ireland and France, the company said.
